What’s in Max Clarity VersaFoam?

There are three products in the VersaFoam kit including a cleanser,  a toner, and a general acne treatment.

Ingredients in the cleanser include:

• benzoyl peroxide
• citric acid
• disodium EDTA
• purified water
• sodium citrate
• sodium lauryl sulfate
• xanthan gum

Ingredient profile synopsis-Benzoyl peroxide can be mildly effective but it also comes with a plethora of side effects. Besides b.p. the ingredient profile is weak.

Ingredients in the toner:

• aloe barbadensis leaf juice
• anhydrous citric acid
• benzyl alcohol
• cetyl alcohol
• ethanol anhydrous
• propylene glycol
• water
• sodium citrate
• steareth-20
• stearyl alcohol

Ingredient profile synopsis: Nothing special. Just your average toner ingredient lineup that could be found in dozens of other products.

Ingredients in the acne treatment:

• benzoyl peroxide
• benzyl alcohol
• ceteareth-20
• citric acid
• disodium EDTA
• water
• sodium citrate
• xanthan gum

Is Max Clarity VersaFoam safe?

Versa Foam contains benzoyl peroxide which can cause dryness, itchiness, redness, stinging, and swelling of the skin and make your skin sensitive to the sun (wear sunscreen or you will burn).

How much is Max Clarity VersaFoam?

A 2 month supply of Max Clarity VersaFoam can be purchased directly from the Max Clarity website for $19.99. It claims that it is a $100 value but really there is nothing in Versafoam that separates it from the $15 acne kits you can purchase at your local grocery store.

With the purchase of VersaFoam, you will be automatically enrolled in their auto-ship program with your credit card getting charged every month. Auto-ship programs can be a pain in the neck because they can be difficult to get out of.

Is there a money back guarantee?

We like money back guarantees. They show that a company believes in their product and hey, we want our money back if a product stinks.

From the Max Clarity website:

“If you do not see clearer skin within 60 days, we’ll give you your money back. Simply return the product (even the empty bottles). No questions asked.”

This seems like a great guarantee but unfortunately digging through the terms and conditions reveals that it may not be as good as it sounds:

“If Products are successfully returned to Stiefel in accordance with the terms herein, your account will be refunded the purchase price paid (less shipping and processing)  in approximately one to two billing cycles from the date Stiefel receives the Products from you.”

The cause for concern is the shipping and processing costs that will be deducted. Processing costs are costs that companies make up to prevent you from getting your money back. The amount of shipping and processing costs that will be deducted from the purchase price are not disclosed which is a bad sign. Don’t expect to get much if anything back if the product does not work.

Is Max Clarity VersaFoam worth purchasing?

Max Clarity VersaFoam is a mediocre product. It isn’t expensive, but the fact that you have to get stuck in an auto-ship program to try offsets its low price. We do not recommend Max Clarity VersaFoam.
